Getting Here

Getting to La Coralina is an easy adventure by air, land and sea!
If you have booked three nights or longer at the hotel transportation from town is free. On your arrival we pick you up at the airport or town. The hotel is just 3 ½ miles from town on the Bluff Beach Road. We offer a free shuttle at 9 AM with a 5 PM pick-up, for the days you plan an in town activity. The road takes 10 minutes each way, and taxis cost $8 to and from town. We can also pre-arrange taxi service to and from town up until 10 PM for $8-10.

Flying to Bocas has become easier as you can now arrive from Costa Rica as well as Panama City. From Panama City you will be arriving at the Tocumen International Airport. From here take a taxi ($20 -$25) or bus to the Regional Albrook Airport. You must have a flight that arrives in Tocumen no later than mid-day or plan to spend the night and fly the next morning. From Albrook two airlines fly twice daily to Bocas. Air Panama www.flyairpanama.com or Aeroperlas www.aeroperlas.com – both approximately $100 each way.

It is possible to fly to Bocas from Costa Rica via Nature Air. You will be arriving in the country of Costa Rica at the San Jose International Airport. From there you will need to take a taxi to Pavas Airport, a small regional airport,  where Nature Air is based (approx. $120 each way), a fantastic airline with scenic picture windows and amazing service! www.natureair.com.

Coming by road you will arrive at one of two cites to reach Bocas. From Costa Rica you will cross into Panama at the Sixola/Guabito border. If you have a rental car it can be safely left in a secure lot for $4 per day. From the Panamanian side you will take a bus or taxi to the city of Almirante.  This is the base for Bocas Marine Tours who provide a $4 25 minute adventure-boat ride across the bay to Bocas Town (Isla Colon), the last launch leaves at 6:30 PM.

From Panama, Bocas is a ten hour drive across the mountains to the town of Almirante. Leave your car at Lieza’s Station for $3 per day and they will help you to the water taxi base just across the street. From here Bocas Marine Tours or Taxi 25 will get you to Bocas. Boats leave every half hour and the last lauch departs at at 6:30 p.m. cost $4.
